Last night I spent some quality time with my mum at the Birmingham Frankfurt Christmas market. Celebrating its 50th anniversary, and home to live music, food and drinks, traditional presents and many many stalls with tonnes of friendly vendors eager to wish you a Merry Christmas.
It was the perfect way to get straight into the Christmassy mood, enjoying hot drinks next to the live music hosted by Heart FM, mega hot dogs served fresh, and for desert Spanish Churros not unlike the ones seen on the Bake Off this year! Walking through the stalls dipping Churros into a pot of melted Spanish chocolate whilst the sound of happy drinkers and music plays in the background is utter perfection i’m telling you!
The lights were beautiful as usual, and the big light up wheel making for an ideal landmark! The House of Fraser window displays were frankly fantastic, and what looked light a long fountain of lights was delicately draped over the side of their building, making a lovely distraction whilst waiting for the tram home.
All in all it was such a lovely night, and I shall be heading back there soon for sure!
Do you have a Christmas Market near you?
